Are classes a la carte, or do I have to sign up for a whole school day? |

Plumbline is an a-la-carte school opportunity. You may of course sign up for a whole day's worth of classes, but you do not have to. You may register for as few or as many classes as you'd like. |

What is the parent volunteer requirement? |

Purcellville Campus - Due to the Child Protection Policy at Purcellville Baptist Church, we need (1) parent volunteer in each classroom with the teachers. In addition, we need (1) hallway/bathroom monitor for each period. We also rely on (1 or 2) floater volunteers each period in case of last minute volunteer absences. Due to these requirements of the church, we will require each family registered at Purcellville to volunteer at least (1) class hour every Thursday for at least (1) semester. i.e. You would volunteer every Thursday for 1st period for the fall semester. Of course, if you can volunteer more than 1 hr, we would be so appreciative! All parent volunteers must be background checked (~$40 fee) and take the online CCP video training provided by PBC. We do accept grandparents that wish to volunteer! If you are absolutely unable to volunteer, we do offer a $500 opt out fee. This is conditional on the basis that we are able to fill ALL necessary volunteer spots throughout both semesters. We will collect names of those who wish to pay the opt out fee on the google form below. The form will be time stamped and the first ones to sign up will be the last ones called if we need to have a spot filled. If we do call you to volunteer, we will refund your $500 opt out fee. Please fill out the google form below to opt out and agree to the $500 fee: https://forms.gle/ Leesburg Campus - We do not have an express volunteer requirement, but we do have a considerable need for volunteer service. We ask families who can volunteer, to be generous with their ability and time. |

How much school work time outside of class is required? |
A: |
Every class will have its own individual requirements. High school classes will definitely require outside of class work. However, on average, a full credit high school class will have about 3-4 hours per week of work outside of class. Per our family handbook, we do expect each child to participate in class discussions and come to school with the assignments completed for each week. |
